The most common type of Windward partnership is the referral or consulting partnership. Usually a consultant or service provider is hired by an end user to do discovery, to implementat specific types of software, and/or to provide custom solutions at an enterprise level. The software licenses are often purchased by the end user customer, but most often, the process starts with an email from the consultant, identifying themselves and their project, naming the customer by company and division, and providing critical business objectives. This was precisely the process that brought Egon Zehnder International to us. A consultant hired by EZI to solve their document generation needs contacted us, listed his requirements, performed the evaluation and facilitated the installation at EZI.
